The job boards and recruitment platforms we see Welsh employers using most often. Set up alerts on at least three of these.
The biggest job board for Welsh roles. Set up email alerts for specific keywords (e.g. "Power BI Cardiff") to be first to apply.
Essential for professional roles. Build a strong profile, switch on "Open to work", and connect with Welsh-based recruiters.
UK-wide job board with strong coverage of South Wales admin, finance and IT roles. CV builder and salary checker built in.
Every NHS Wales role is posted here. NHS Wales is actively hiring digital analysts, project managers and admin staff in 2026.
Civil service roles based in Wales. Strong benefits, pension and remote-flex policies — and they hire from non-traditional backgrounds.
The UK Government's official Jobcentre Plus board. Often lists Welsh roles that don't appear elsewhere, especially apprenticeships.

Microsoft's full free training catalogue. Excellent for Azure, Power BI, Copilot, Power Platform — and exam prep for AZ-900 / PL-300.
Free interactive coding curriculum. The non-profit standard for learning React, JavaScript, Python and full-stack development.
Most courses can be audited for free. Google, IBM and Stanford all run free intro courses in data, AI and cyber here.
Free foundational learning. Excellent if your maths or computer literacy needs a refresher before tackling data or developer courses.
Free hands-on cyber security and ethical hacking labs in your browser. The platform our Cyber graduates use to keep practising.
Free supplementary learning. Channels like Guy in a Cube (Power BI), David Bombal (cyber) and Theo - t3 (web dev) are gold.
When the load gets heavy.
Redundancy is one of life's most stressful experiences. These services are free, confidential, and run by people who genuinely understand. Use them.
Wales-specific mental health support. Free advice, local groups across all Welsh regions, and crisis support if you need it urgently.
Free, confidential, 24/7. Available to listen whenever the weight feels like too much. No diagnosis, no pressure, just human contact.
Wales's own mental health helpline. Free, confidential, available 24/7. Trained Welsh-based listeners who understand local context.
Non-urgent NHS advice. Mental health support routing, GP-out-of-hours access, and links to local NHS Wales services.
Specifically aimed at men, who statistically reach out for help much later. Practical guides on work stress, redundancy and depression.
Getting through the gap.
Practical financial support during the period between redundancy and your next role. Free advice, no judgement, no commercial agenda.
Apply for the main UK benefit covering people of working age. Available regardless of why you're out of work — including redundancy.
Free, independent advice on benefits, debt, employment rights and housing. They'll walk you through your entitlements step-by-step.
Free government-backed money guidance service. Budgeting, redundancy pay tax, mortgage support — clearer than any bank's website.
If redundancy has pushed you towards problem debt, StepChange offers free, confidential debt advice and structured repayment plans.
A free benefits calculator and grants search engine. Surprising how many small charitable grants you might qualify for that no one mentions.
Find your people.
The local meetups, communities and networks where Welsh tech happens. Most are free to join and many are actively friendly to career changers.
The Meetup directory for Cardiff tech groups — Cardiff Software Crafters, AI Cardiff, Cardiff JS, Cardiff Front-End. All free.
Smaller scene but very welcoming. Swansea Software Development meets regularly, plus university-hosted events.
The trade body for the Welsh tech sector. Job board, networking events and member directory of Welsh tech employers.
Free coding bootcamp for refugees and people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Welsh chapter active in Cardiff.
If you want formal credentials.
We focus on portfolio over certificates — but if you specifically want exam-based qualifications on top of your ReSkillWales masterclass, these are the bodies to know.
The UK's chartered IT institute. Foundation, intermediate and advanced certificates respected by every UK employer. Welsh members get local events.
International tech certifications. Security+ is the entry standard for cyber roles. Network+ and A+ for IT support paths.
Premier cyber security certification body. CC (free entry cert) and CISSP (advanced). The certs Welsh public sector cyber roles ask for.
